God > My fears.

I fly out in 23 days. I leave all I have ever known, jump on a plane and live with strangers for 5 months. It’s less then a month away and I am getting really stressed out about everything. I was going to go to church with a friend and out to coffee after, but for whatever reason, I really wanted to go to church with my family today. The service was about saying yes to God, even when it seems crazy, and its out of your comfort zone. Our pastor spoke on how God will take you on the wildest adventure, a God story he called it. He spoke on Mary and Joseph, how he used two teenagers to bring Jesus Christ into the world. How both of them needed to say yes to God, even when everybody thought they were crazy. It was such a God thing that I was at my own church today, because I needed to hear that message. After the service, some friends of my parents came up and began telling us about their trip they had recently been on. Bet you can’t guess where they went. Mazatlan, Mexico. They loved it, and this began to calm my fears about all of this. I know that I am meant to be there, love on the people there. God has brought me this far, and I know he isn’t going to leave me stranded. Looking back over these last couple months, I can see God’s hand in everything that has happened to me. How freaking cool is that. Here I am, getting all stressed and uptight about everything and God is saying: take a deep breath, I already have it planned and its awesome. I can’t wait to show you what I have planned for you. This is my God story.

I will be using this blog to keep you all updated, posting it on Facebook. Please be praying for me as I continue on this crazy adventure!
